Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data BuyerDrill ("we", "us") collects, why, and what choices you have. We collect as little as we need to run the service.

In short: speech recognition runs in your browser and our server receives only the text of your answers, never audio. Transcripts are kept so you can see your progress, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. We do not sell your data, and our website does not use advertising trackers.

1. What we collect

Account details: email address and basic settings, such as hint language.
Practice data: if you use voice, your browser's built-in speech recognition turns your speech into text (in Chrome this is processed by Google's speech service under Google's terms; you can type instead). Our server receives only the text. We store the drill transcript, your scores, and suggested lines. We never receive or store audio.
Purchase details: payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record. We receive your name, email, country, the plan you bought, and order status. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Support messages: anything you send us by email.
Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and time of request) kept for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

to run drills, score them, and show your progress;
to send you sign-in links and important service or billing messages;
to answer support requests and process refunds;
to keep the service secure and prevent abuse;
to understand, in aggregate, which scenarios and features are useful, so we can improve them;
to meet legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who processes data for us

We use a small number of service providers, only for the purposes above:

website and application hosting;
an AI language model provider, which processes the text of your drill to generate the buyer's replies and your score;
an email provider for sending messages;
Creem, for payments, invoices, tax, and refunds.

These providers may process data in countries other than yours. We choose providers that protect data with appropriate safeguards.

4. Keep confidential details out of drills

You never need real prices, customer names, or confidential information to practice. Please use placeholders like "our price" or "X weeks". If you do enter real details, you are responsible for being allowed to share them.

5. How long we keep data

Drill audio: never received by our server.
Transcripts and scores: until you delete them or close your account.
Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Server logs: a short period, normally no more than 90 days.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to stop sending you emails, at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. Email support@buyerdrill.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The checkout page is provided by Creem and may set its own cookies needed to work. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.

8. Children

BuyerDrill is for working adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections and limited access. Sign-in uses one-time email links, so there is no password to leak. No online service can be completely secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or on the website before it takes effect.
